I'm a writer now, but I started out as an actress. I couldn’t have imagined any other path at the time, as I was hooked on performance and got a kick out of diving deep to develop a character's facets. I wrote short plays and monologues and explored how to bring personalities to life through storytelling.
I’d just returned from studying at Lee Strasberg in New York when a friend first encouraged me to write professionally. She commissioned fun blogs about our festival experiences for her events business and long-form articles on weddings and events. Soon, I found my passion had switched from performance to pen.
My first long-form article was a hit. Published across multiple wedding blogs, it organically went viral. I quickly attracted a roster of clients across various sectors, each opening up a new world of knowledge: design, technology, sustainability, corporate responsibility, ocean plastics, and artificial intelligence. Acting paved the way to writing, and I haven’t looked back.
